Updates to Embase for 2013

The Embase database is updated every 6 months with new Emtree indexing terms. These can be used in the same way as MeSH terms in Medline. The next update is scheduled for the first week of February 2013.

New indexing terms in Embase include:

• binge drinking
• dengue rapid test
• disgust
• epidemiological monitoring
• field hospital
• food insecurity
• malaria rapid test
• medical geography
• medical sociology
• physical abuse
• smoking ban
