For International Women's Day, the new Library display celebrates the role of Women in Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Personalities featured include Mary Henrietta Kingsley (1862-1900) writer and traveller in West Africa.
The Mary Kingsley medal was awarded by Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine to Sir Patrick Manson (founder of LSHTM) in 1905

Other women in the display include:
- Mabel Clark, a well-known figure in British nutrition, who worked in the Department of Industrial Physiology at LSHTM during the 1920s-1930s
- Cicely Williams, who studied at LSHTM 1928-1929 and returned as Senior Lecturer in Nutrition 1953-55.
